Eusebia Shije
Zia, active circa 1950’s to present: traditional polychrome jars and bowls. Born: ca. 1930. Family: Sister of Teresita Galvin, mother-in-law of Adrienne Shije. Eusebia is an award winning potter, and a published artist. She has displayed her work consistently at Indian Market, Santa Fe, since 1976; and has also exhibited at Eight Northern Indian Pueblos Arts and Crafts Show since 1995. She has received numerous awards for her bowls and jars, and in 1979 and 1980 received the Richard M. Howard Award for Best Traditional Zia Pottery. In 1981 she was awarded the Indian Arts Fund Award for Overall Excellence. She is also an award winning exhibitor at Indian Market, Santa Fe.
